Submit no more than 3 original artworks to Resist group art show using the following prompt:
For centuries artists have used their skills to speak truth to power or reflect the current state of the world as they perceive it, all while working through the frustration bearing with a society in need of balance and progression, or rebelling against the status quo. Processing current events in this way is vital – not just on an individual level but for all to absorb and contemplate, provoking conversations that are so often needed. For this show, artists are invited to create works that respond to current events – social, political, environmental or global – but most of all, we ask artists to consider this question: how can you use art as a form of resistance?

Selected artists will be notified via email in early August. "Resist" opens Friday, August 28th at 6pm at the Rebel and closes Sunday, November 22nd. 

Art sales are split 70/30 with the Rebel taking 30% of sales and the artist retaining 70% of sales.

Submit works no larger than 30" x 36"

The exhibition is free to enter.

General Info:

• Original music only.
• This form is for music events only. All other events use our contact form.
• Music events take place on Friday and Saturday nights. Exceptions may be made based on the inquiry.
• All shows end at 11:30pm.
• Line ups are limited to 3 musical acts per date, unless prior consent is given from the Rebel's Program Director.
• Submission of this form is not confirmation of booking.
• All booking is at the discretion of the Rebel's Programming Director.
• Age limit is 18+ for entry. Performers may be under 18 with approval from Program Director.
• All show graphics must be approved by the Rebel prior to posting on social media.
• Submit one inquiry only per musical act or music event.
• Event admission fee will be determined in collaboration with the Rebel.
• Pre-sale tickets go through the Rebel's ticketing system.
• Payout is 0-7 business days after the music event.
• Musical acts / promoters that cancel with less than 30 days notice may not be invited back.
• NO AI ANYTHING EVER. 

The Rebel provides:

• Sound (including mics & stands) / Sound Engineer
• Door person
• Day of Production Manager
• Merch sales space
• Social media marketing of event on social platforms & website
• Graphics, social media strategy, & content creation (for an additional fee)

Musical Acts / Promoters must provide:

• Artist bio(s), promo photos, logo(s), social media profile(s)
• Show info
• Instruments 
• Announcement graphic(s) to be approved by the Rebel
• Event social media marketing support

The Rebel reserves the right to update and amend these guidelines based on needs of the musical act, promoter, or the Rebel itself.

General Info:

Saturday Showcase at the Rebel is a monthly open mic for new and established musicians. This is not only a way for new musicians to get stage time, but also a great way to connect with other musicians in SWFL. Submitting to participate is easy. Simply fill out this form. Read the complete guidelines below before submitting.

Doors are at 7pm; Music starts at 7:30pm. There are 10 spots per showcase. Each performer has 10 minutes of performance time. There will be a featured act that will have 15-20 minutes at the close the of each showcase. If you'd like to be considered for the featured act, please select that option on the form. Only featured performers can have a full band set up with drums.

Submission of this form doesn't guarantee participation in the Saturday Showcase at The Rebel. Participation is confirmed via email no later than 5 days prior to the showcase date you selected. You'll receive an email and text message; respond to either and your time slot will be confirmed.  

Guidelines:

• Only sign up one time per musical act per date.
• You can sign up as a member of multiple musical acts.
• No poetry, spoken word, or comedy. This is a music showcase only.
• Covers and originals are both allowed.
• Musicians at any stage of their career may submit; including a performance video link will help us understand where you're at.
• While you can sign up for more than one showcase date at a time, we do like to encourage diversity in our line ups.
• If you go over your time slot on purpose, you will not be invited back.
• Musicians must be at the Rebel by the time doors open at 7pm. 
• Late arrivals may lose their time slot.
• No shows may not be considered for future showcase dates.
• Musical acts enter for free; no plus one.
• Featured musical act will receive one drink ticket per member.
